6 Days Tanzania Wilderness Safaris

Trip Overview

Traveling to Tanzania is both a unique experience and an opportunity for an adventure of a lifetime. Tanzania is one of the unique destinations remaining for safari game viewing, which allows people to see a wide range of animals and birds. Travelling on safari allows people to experience the wonders of animal migration, their behaviour, and their eco-system. The unspoiled wilderness and wildlife of Tanzania are a beautiful setting for a safari. It is where humans and wild animals have lived together naturally for thousands of years.

DAY 1
DAY 1

Tarangire National Park

After breakfast, you will be picked up by your driver guide and drive to Tarangire National Park. This is the third largest park in Tanzania and it is characterized by the amazingly large herds of elephants that can be encountered in this park. The Baobab trees are one of the other highlights of Tarangire, and the Tarangire River, which flows all year round, is the lifeblood of the park.

DAY 2
DAY 2

Serengeti National Park

After breakfast, drive to Serengeti National Park with a picnic lunch, passing through Olduvai Gorge on the way. Visit Maasai Village and learn about their culture. Olduvai Gorge is a canyon carved by water through the southern part of the Serengeti Plain. The gorge is about the Serengeti Plain. Its chief claim to fame is the rich treasure-trove of human and animal fossils that it has yielded. Visit the Maasai village to learn about their cultural game drive en route. A million wildebeests… Each one is driven by the same ancient rhythm, fulfilling its instinctive role in the inescapable cycle of life: a frenzied three-week bout of territorial conquests and mating; survival of the fittest as 40km (25 mile) long columns plunge through crocodile-infested waters on the annual exodus north; replenishing the species in a brief population explosion that produces more than 8,000 calves daily before the 1,000 km (600 mile) pilgrimage begins again.

DAY 3
DAY 3

Full day in Serengeti Park

After breakfast, we will take your packed lunch for a full day of game drives in the wilderness, tracking the great migration trails. A thorough explanation of this great world event that Tanzania is proud of will be provided. And in the evening, as the sun goes down, Tanzania’s oldest and most popular national park, also a world heritage site and recently proclaimed a 7th world wide wonder, the Serengeti, is famed for its annual migration, when some six million hooves pound the open plains, as more than 200,000 zebra and 300,000 Thomson’s gazelle join the wildebeest’s trek for fresh grazing.

DAY 4
DAY 4

Ngorongoro Crater

This day we will start early drive to Ngorongoro (with a picnic lunch) inside the Ngorongoro Crater. As very few animals migrate in and out of the crater with its
2000 ft. high walls, you can expect to see lions, elephants, zebras, hippos, flamingos, jackals, rhinos, antelopes, many birds and other species. The Ngorongoro Conservation Area (NCA) is an extensive highland area along the eastern arm of the Rift Valley, with the world-renowned Ngorongoro Crater as its focal point. Evening back to the Lodge,

DAY 5
DAY 5

Lake Manyara National Park

Leave for Lake Manyara National Park for a game drive in the park. Manyara provides the perfect introduction to Tanzania’s birdlife. More than 400 species have been recorded, and even a first-time visitor to Africa might reasonably expect to observe 100 of these in one day. Inland of the floodplain, a narrow belt of acacia woodland is the favoured haunt of Manyara’s legendary tree-climbing lions and impressively tusked elephants.

DAY 6
DAY 6

After breakfast, we will drive back to Arusha and drop off at your Arusha Hotel for dinner and overnight at your own arrangement or transfer to the airport.
