Honeymoons Safari

Undoubtedly one of the best locations for an African honeymoon is Tanzania. Fantastic Indian Ocean havens are only a short flight from incredible parks with plenty of big five and predator action, and it has everything you could want for a safari and beach honeymoon. We are aware that for your Tanzania honeymoon to be truly unforgettable and ideal, it must be flawless. We can guarantee that it will be safe and enjoyable thanks to our extensive knowledge of the region and decades of travel planning expertise.

The choice between the north and south of Tanzania is the most crucial one to make when organizing your honeymoon in Tanzania (or both). Northern Tanzania is justifiably known as one of the top safari destinations in the world; the iconic Serengeti and Ngorongoro Crater provide exceptional game viewing year-round, making them ideal for both novice and seasoned safari enthusiasts.
The north’s drawback is that it is understandably popular, which makes all but the most exclusive locations fairly crowded and results in slightly higher prices. Since there are strict regulations in place here, the majority of lodges only provide routine game drives (no walking, boating or night drives). It takes a little longer to complete the circuit properly and is a little farther from the beach as well.
Southern Tanzania plays a role in this. The largest game reserve in Africa, Selous Game Reserve, and Ruaha National Park are the South’s crown jewels because they have resisted the effects of mass tourism and provide a more personal and authentic safari experience. It is game viewing season in the South from early July to the end of October. More lax regulations here permit boating, walking, and fly-camping in the wilderness. The parks are closer to one another and the beach, improving the value of the lodging (you get more luxury for your money), saving you time and money on travel.
A beach vacation in Zanzibar is a great idea. There are many wonderful beaches to choose from, and prices range greatly. We dedicated a whole page to Zanzibar because it has so much to offer (see Zanzibar Honeymoons). Other nearby islands like Mafia and Pemba cater to avid divers, and a few private islands like Mnemba and Fanjove offer the ultimate in exclusivity.

If you want to extend your honeymoon beyond Tanzania, gorilla trekking is possible in both Rwanda and Uganda (with direct flights between Rwanda and the Serengeti). Some of the best beaches in the world can be found in Mozambique and the Seychelles, but travel there can be challenging and expensive.
