Ruaha National Park
Tanzania is home to Ruaha National Park, which spans 20226 square kilometers. The largest national park in Tanzania is acknowledged to be Ruaha National Park.
In 1910, Germany gave it the name Saba Game Reserve before establishing it as a national park in 1964. The Rungwa Game Reserve was given its current name by the British colonial government in 1946.
The Hehe word “Ruvaha,” which means river, is where the name Ruaha came from. A well-known tribe from Tanganyika, the Hehe, controlled the Ruaha region.
All seasons are suitable for visiting Ruaha National Park. The best times to visit are from May through October, when the skies are clear, and from November through April, when the vegetation is green, the scenery is stunning, and there are fewer people around.
One of the park’s most prominent features, the Ruaha River serves as a source of water for animals in Ruaha National Park, primarily during the dry season.
